In 2020 the MIT Entrepreneurship Forum placed special emphasis on women entrepreneurship. We held a webinar with the US Deputy Secretary of Economy Manisha Singh (POWER). The keynote speaker at the webinar was Gwen Edwards(Golden Seeds) an entrepreneur, an angel investor with a specialization in femtech, and an Entrepreneurship researcher (through ARI - Angel Resource Institute). From the statistics Gwen Edwards provided, it is clear: the viability of investing in ventures with women at the management level is several times higher than in ventures run by men alone!
ISRAELI MEDICAL INNOVATION
Medical Innovation in COVID-19 time with the VP of Medicine and Innovation at Sheba Medical Center Dr. Eyal Zimlichman, MIT graduate, founder of EarlySense and board member of the MIT Forum Avner Halperin and Prof. Avi Schroeder of the Technion's Faculty of Chemical Engineering (who did postdoctoral work at MIT). The meeting was attended by 162 participants from 17 countries.
Global Entrepreneurship Week 2020
Entrepreneurship Week (# GEW2020), led by the Global Entrepreneurship Network - a partner association of the MIT Forum in Israel.
The opening event took place at the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange when the start of the trading button was pressed by Ayla Matalon, MIT Forum Israel Chair. First-rate lecturers participated in a hybrid program (face-to-face and online).
